Our dinner at Sushi by Scratch Restaurants: Montecito was superb. The staff infused the evening with a vibrant, jubilant atmosphere, pairing each meticulously crafted dish with entertaining storytelling and great conversation. The menu strikes a flawless balance between immaculate fish and imaginative accoutrements. A must-visit omakase for anyone who loves sushi. They also have a variety of options for Japanese Whiskey, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Quite the experience! Arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation to enjoy a complementary beverage. You check in and start in the inn and then are escorted to a private room for the experience. It’s capped at 10 guests to it’s an intimate seating. 17 “courses” (bites) of the most fresh and exquisitely curated sushi hand made in front. You can also opt to add on an alcohol or non alcohol drink pairing. We very much enjoyed the whole process. Thank you! Previously a Michelin Star recipient, currently hold a Michelin Plate award.

The food was amazing, I loved the atmosphere and appreciated how many ingredients were locally sourced. It felt as though there was a lot of time and effort spent creating each dish. Our cocktail crafter Alison was an expert, friendly, and wonderful. Drinks are not included, you can purchase additional drink packages that price 100+ or alternatively just ask Alison to make something incredible. My negative feedback: for the price I definitely felt serving two pieces per dish would have been appropriate. I left hungry and I'm not a big eater. For a couple who bought 4 drink (3 beers, 1 wine) total= $518.

Amazing experience! My husband and I went here for our anniversary and had the best experience! Each course was fresh and inventive, drinks were EXCELLENT, and the chefs was entertaining and skilled (: Can’t wait to come back!!
